RULES OF PLAY

All rules will be in accordance with NFHS standards unless otherwise noted.

  1. Playing time will consist of 2 twenty minute running halves with a five minute halftime.  Games will begin promptly.
  2. Each team will receive one 30 second timeout each half.  Timeouts will not carry over to the next half.  If a team does not return to the field in a prompt manner after a timeout they will either lose possession of the ball or be assessed a delay of game penalty.  The clock will stop for timeouts.
  3. There will be no overtime in regulation games.
  4. All ties in playoff games will be decided by a sudden victory overtime period.
  5. Championship games will have the same format as all other games.
  6. Substitutions on the fly except in the event of a time serving penalty when there will be a quick horn.  No horns on the sidelines.
  7. Decisions on the field will be the final ruling.  No disputes will be heard after the game.
  8. Any coach or player ejected from a game will not be allowed to participate in the following scheduled game for their team.
  9. There will be no stick checks unless requested by the opposing coach.  If the stick is found to be legal, the challenging team will be assessed a timeout.  If no timeouts remain, a delay of game technical foul will be assessed.  If the stick is not legal, the appropriate penalty will be assessed.
  10. Sticks should meet NFHS standards.
  11. No noise makers will be allowed at any field (horns, whistles, sirens, cowbells, etc.).  Offenders will be asked to leave the field.
  12. Any player, fan or coach ejected from a game will be prohibited from competing in/coaching/watching his/her team's next game.

DECISIONS ON THE FIELD WILL BE THE FINAL RULING.

ROSTER RULES
  1. No player may compete, or be rostered, on more than one team during the tournament.  Any team with a player in violation of this rule will forfeit all games in which the player is known to have competed and forfeit the opportunity to advance to the playoff round.
  2. US Lacrosse age guidelines will be used for the U13 & U15 divisions. Age eligible High School players may compete in the U15 division.
  3. U13 players must have been born after August 31, 1998.
  4. U15 players must have been born after August 31, 1996.
  5. No High School Graduates are eligible.
  6. Any teams in violation of the above roster rules will forfeit any games in which the ineligible player participated and will forfeit the opportunity to advance to the playoffs.
SCORING
  1. Points will be awarded after each game, 5 points for a win, 2 points for a tie and 0 points for a loss.
  2. Ties will be broken in the following manner and sequence: 1.) head to head play; 2.) most wins; 3.) fewest goals allowed; 4.) total point differential in the first five games (not to exceed +3 or -3 in any game); 5.) coin toss.
  3. All playoff games that end in a tie will be resolved by a sudden victory overtime period.
  4. One referee will hold the scorecard for each game.  At the end of each game the referee will record the score of the game and sign the scorecard.  A Lax-N-Nati representative will then pick up the scorecard and return ti to the administration tent.  All scores and point totals will be recorded on the main scoreboard located in front of the administration tent.  Coaches should check the scorecard on the field if they wish to validate the score.  Once the scorecard reaches the administration tent the score is considered final.
