Marc Van Arsdale - Marc Van Arsdale is in his 11th year as the top assistant coach at the University of Virginia and his sixth year as associate head coach. He has helped guide Virginia to its last three NCAA Championships. Marc had a distinguished playing career at Hobart University that included winning four Division III National Championships, being named the MVP of the Division III Championship game in 1983 & 1985 and being named First team All-American and Division III Attackman of the year in his senior year. He is currently is a member of the Hobart College Athletic Hall of Fame.
Along with his years at UVA, Marc's coaching resume also includes stints as the assistant coach at Nazereth College and head coach at the University of Pennsylvania.
Marc has also served on the USILA All-American Selection Committee and the advisory committee for team selections to the NCAA Championships.
Guy Van Arsdale - Guy Van Arsdale will be entering his first year as Head Coach at Jacksonville University. Before coming to Jacksonville, Guy was the head coach at Colorado College for the last two years. He has been a college coach for 27 years and last year led Colorado College to a 15-1 record and its first NCAA tournament appearance.
Guy enjoyed a highly decorated playing career as a goaltender at Hobart University. He led the Statesmen to four consecutive Division III National Championships, was named the C. Markland Kelly Goalie of the Year three times, the Division III player of the year in 1983 and participated in the North South All Star game his senior year. He is also a member of the Hobart College Athletic Hall of Fame.
Guy served as head lacrosse at the Rochester Institute of Technology for 12 years before becoming the head coach and assistant general manager of the Rochester Rattlers of Major League Lacrosse, as well as an assistant coach with the Rochester Knighthawks orf the NLL. Prior to taking over at Colorado College guy was an assistant coach at the University of Notre Dame for one year and an assistant coach at Penn State University for 6 years.
Jon Torpey - Jon Torpey is entering his first season as the head coach at High Point University. Prior to signing on at High Point he spent two seasons as the top assistant coach at Dartmouth College. Before that, he was the assistant at University of Denver for four years. During that time he helped lead the Pioneers to two GWLL championships and helped lead Denver to its first NCAA tournament appearance and a No. 18 final ranking in the USILA Geico/STX Coaches poll.
Jon is a 2000 graduate of Ohio State University where he was a three time captain and All-Academic Big Ten selection. He was named a Street and Smith College Lacrosse USA All-American as a senior and was a four-time Scholar Athlete Award winner at Ohio State. Jon played for six years in the NLL and played for the Denver Outlaws and Bridgeport Barrage in the MLL, winning championships with both of them.
Jason Miller - Jason Miller is entering his sixth year as head coach of the St. John's Red Storm. Jason came to St. John's after spending three seasons as the top assistant coach at University of Massachusetts. At UMass he helped lead the team to its first NCAA national championship game in 2006. The Minutemen's road to the National Championship was arguably the toughest in history as they defeated No.2 Hofstra, No.3 Cornell and No.4 Maryland before losing to No. 1 Virginia in the title game.
Prior to coaching at UMass, Jason coached at Army, RIT, Springfield College and Franklin and Marshall. He is a 1993 graduate of Springfield College where he played defense.
Frank Fedorjaka - Frank Fedorjaka is in his seventh year as head coach at Bucknell University. In that time his teams have won two Patriot League regular season titles, one Patriot League tournament title and one NCAA tournament appearance. He has been named the Patriot League Coach of the Year in two of the last three years. He has been known throughout his career as one of college's best defensive minds. His teams annually rank among the nation's leaders in in scoring defense, man-down defense and riding efficiency.
Coach Fedorjaka also served as the head coach at Franklin and Marshall for five years where he was named as the USILA Coach of the Year in 1995. He is a 1989 graduate of Hobart College where in addition to being a starting long stick midfielder on three Division III national championship teams he was an All American wide receiver.
transferring to Mt. St. Mary's to finish his playing career and pursue his coaching career.
Chris Malone - Chris Malone has been the head coach of the Arizona State Sun Devils since 2007. He was named the WCLL coach of the year in 2008 as the team had their best season in their 40 year existence making it to the smei-finals of the MCLA Tournament. Prior to coaching at ASU Chris was an asssistant coach at the University of Pennsylvania and Loyola Blakefield High School in Baltimore, MD.
Chris played midfield at the University of Maryland where he was a two time All American, two time scholar athlete and a two time recipient of the William Cole Memorial Award presented to the most outstanding midfielder at Maryland. Chris also played in the MLL for the New Jersey Pride, Bridgeport Barrage and Chicago Machine.
Paul Richards - Paul Richards joined the Cornell men's lacrosse staff prior to the 2011 season. As an assistant coach on the staff, Paul undertook a myriad of responsibilities. On the field, he is in charge of face-offs and substitutions, while assisting in all facets of the offensive unit. Paul also serves as recruiting coordinator for the staff. Prior to Cornell, Paul spent the 2010 season working as the senior assitant coach and offensive coordinator at Wahington College after spending one year as a volunteer assistant at Goucher College.
Paul graduated from Loyola University in 2008. He was a first team All-ECAC selection, North-South Senior All Star and team captain his senior year. He was also named to the Tewaaraton Trophy Watch list his senior year.
Joe Kerwin - Joe Kerwin is entering his 8th season with the Oregon Ducks. He has compiled a 58-20 record as the Head Coach at Oregon and has led the Ducks to six PNCLL Championships and six National Tournament appearances. In 2007, Joe was named both PNCLL and MCLA Coach of the Year. In between stints at Oregon, Joe was the Head Coach at Notre Dame de Namur University where he led the Argos to a 16-6 overall record.
Before his coaching career, Joe played at Roger Williams University and is a graduate of Chatham High School in New Jersey.
Jay Dyer - Jay Dyer is about to begin his 10th year as Strength and Conditioning Coach for Johns Hopkins Men's Lacrosse. He is also starting his 3rd year as Strength and Conditioning Coach for Loyola College Men's Soccer. Jay is a member of the Under Armour Performance Training Council which is compromised of trainers from the NFL, MLB and NHL. He is the Director of Sports Performance for Union Memorial Sports Medicine. Jay has trained 4 MLL MVPS, 45 Division I All Americans (and counting), US Men's and Women's World Team Members, the Division I Midfielder of the Year, the Division I Defenseman of the Year and the Division I Goalie of the Year.
Rick Brocato - Rick Brocato is in his 19th year at St. Paul's School for Boys (Brooklandville, MD). He has been the head varsity coach for 11 years compiling an overall record of 151-64. The 2010 Baltimore Sun and US Lacrosse Greater Baltimore Coach of the Year, Coach Broc led St. Paul's to the MIAA "A" Conference Championship in 2010. The Crusaders also advanced to the Finals in 1996 and 1998, and he earned Baltimore Sun Coach of the Year honors in 1998, as well. St. Paul's has qualified for the MIAA "A" Conference playoffs 10 out of the 11 years under Broc's leadership. Overall, he has 24 years of high school coaching experience.
